Senior Business Analyst – Project Delivery – 8 month FTC

The Senior Business Analyst – Project Delivery role will be responsible for assessing, validating and documenting the end-to-end target operating model for an acquisition integration project (Project Archer). They will also support, from a project management perspective, in the overall delivery of Project Archer.  

Responsibilities

  • Assess, validate, and document the Target Operating Model (TOM) for Project Archer.
  • Conduct impact analysis and ensure user acceptance testing (UAT) activities align with the agreed TOM, supporting project and IT teams in issue resolution.
  • Ensure all documentation in completing the TOM is in accordance with the RiverStone International framework.
  • To represent the business externally with vendors during the project lifecycle.
  • Manage projects in accordance with RiverStone International’s project governance processes, using structured and appropriate project methodologies.
  • Produce and maintain all relevant project documentation to appropriate quality standards.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues effectively to mitigate impact to project success. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst within the insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Australian general insurance sector, with a strong understanding of local regulatory frameworks (e.g., APRA, ASIC) and associated reporting, compliance, and operational requirements
  • Strong understanding of insurance business operations, systems, and processes.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., BPMN, Microsoft Visio).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint) to extract, interpret, and present insights.
  • Proven experience analysing and documenting business requirements and end-to-end processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve process issues.
  • Experience leading workshops, meetings, and collaborative sessions to elicit requirements and align stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage effectively at all organisational levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable technical requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, generate insights, and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to foster collaboration and build consensus across diverse groups.
  • Highly organised, with excellent time management and project coordination skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
