Luke Tanzer, Managing Director of RiverStone UK
Luke joined in 1998 as Head of Legacy Business and Ceded Reinsurance, became Head of Workout in 2000 and was appointed to the board in 2003. Luke manages the UK companies and is responsible for the implementation of their strategies. He has been involved in the resolution of numerous complex and challenging issues with a focus on resolving disputes and negotiating major commutation transactions. Born in Australia, Luke graduated from James Cook University, North Queensland in 1987 with a Bachelor Degree in Economics, and before moving to England he worked in Commercial Lending with Barclays Australia in Sydney. Luke has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry having worked for Alwen Hough Johnson, a London based Lloyd's broker between 1990 and 1997, where he was an Assistant Director in both the Claims and Placing Divisions. In 1997 Luke joined Sedgwick Re as an Associate Director in their Aviation Division before moving to RiverStone.

Lorna Hemsley, Finance Director of RiverStone Holdings Limited
Lorna is responsible for all finance and actuarial related matters for the RiverStone UK companies, including general accounting, reporting, treasury, planning, and taxation. Lorna joined the group in 1998 as Deputy Accountant and was appointed Head of Finance in 2003 and then Finance Director in 2008. Prior to joining RiverStone UK, Lorna spent ten years at an accountancy practice where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 and gained a wide breadth of experience.

Mark Bannister, Reinsurance Director of RiverStone Management Limited
Mark is responsible for the reinsurance matters of the RiverStone UK companies and Lloyds Syndicate operations, including technical reinsurance issuance, credit control and commutation activity. Mark joined the group in 1994 after gaining a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration. Initially joining Sphere Drake Underwriting Management in the Technical team Mark has been Manager of the Financial Run-off Unit, and Head of the Workout and Reinsurance Teams before being appointed Reinsurance Director in March 2011. Mark has completed over 500 commutations, established the RiverStone Direct Broking operation and has a wealth of years of both live and run-off experience.

Tony Tilley, Claims Director of RiverStone Management Limited
Tony joined the group in 1991 after graduating from Brighton University with a BSc in Combined Sciences (mathematics and physics). Initially working for Sphere Drake Underwriting Management in the Technical Services team, he has held various management positions including Head of Special Projects and Lloyd’s Run off Manager. Tony was heavily involved in the successful PA spiral litigation between Sphere Drake and Stirling Cooke Brown/EIU and has over 20 years of both live and run-off experience in both the company and Lloyd’s market. He is now Claims Director of RiverStone Management Limited, responsible for claims matters relating to RiverStone’s London Market Treaty and Global Markets business, including adjusting, litigation and settlements.

Stephen Roberts, Claims Director (UK Division) of RiverStone Management Limited
Stephen joined RiverStone in 2012 as Claims Director of the UK Division. Prior to joining RiverStone Stephen was with Brit Insurance for 10 years, most recently as Head of UK Claims. Stephen has experience dealing with significant claims in liability, property and professional classes with previous roles being held at Abacus Syndicate, J M Murphy & Others, Michael Payne & Others and Leslie & Godwin. Stephen is ACII qualified and is responsible for defining our UK claims strategy, encompassing our policy of “Treating Customers Fairly”, and providing leadership in respect of service-to-client relationships.

Fraser Henry, Director of RiverStone Management Limited, General Counsel and Company Secretary
Fraser joined RiverStone in 2004 as Corporate Solicitor and was promoted to General Counsel and Company Secretary in 2007. He has been closely involved with acquisitions and company restructuring and has overseen numerous company transfers, Part V11 transactions and Lloyds RITC transactions. He was appointed to the Board of RiverStone Management Limited in 2012. Fraser attended the University of Manchester where he graduated with a BA in Economics. After 5 years working on the commercial side of the IT industry Fraser returned to university to retrain as a solicitor. He spent 4 years with DMH solicitors and 4 years with Osborne Clarke solicitors before joining RiverStone.

Tony Keys, Independent Non-Executive Chairman of RiverStone Insurance UK and Non-Executive Director of RiverStone Insurance Limited
Tony has worked with the RiverStone UK companies since 2005 and is the Chairman of the Board of RiverStone Insurance UK. Tony has been Partner at Sheppards and Chase Stockbrokers, Group Development Director at Stewart Wrightson Holdings plc, Finance Director at Steel Burrill Jones Group plc and LIMIT plc, and has also owned and managed his own companies. He has also held various non-executive directorships within the insurance market and continues to work as an Independent Non-Executive Director for Talbot Underwriting Limited. Tony studied Mathematics at Queens’ College, Cambridge.
Bill Goodier, Independent Non-Executive Chairman of RiverStone Managing Agency
Bill has worked with the RiverStone UK companies since 2003 and is the Chairman of the Board of RiverStone Managing Agency. Bill has previously worked at Willis Faber & Dumas (Underwriting Agencies) Limited, Merrett Underwriting Agencies Limited and Janson Green Limited where he was Chairman of both the Members Division and the Non-Marine Run off Division. He has also held various non-executive directorships at, amongst others, Mutual Insurance Company Limited, Lime Street Insurance Company Limited, Munich Re Underwriting Limited and Kingscroft Insurance Company Limited.
Adrian Masterson, Independent Non-Executive Director of RiverStone Managing Agency and RiverStone Insurance Limited
Adrian joined the board of RiverStone Managing Agency in 2011 to provide independent challenge regarding strategy, procedures and operations, a role he also performs as a member of the board of RiverStone Insurance Limited. Adrian started his career as an economist with the Central Bank of Ireland followed by a treasury role with Gulf Oil in London. He then moved on to Morgan Guaranty Trust Bank where he was Vice President, followed by 3 years as Director of Corporate Finance at James Crean P.L.C. Since 1994 he has been Director of various companies established in Ireland by leading US, UK and European Investment banks. Adrian has a BA in Mathematics and Economics from University College, Dublin, a MSc from the London School of Economics and a MBA from Harvard University.
Tom Riddell, Independent Non-Executive Director of RiverStone Insurance Limited
Tom joined the board of RiverStone Insurance Limited in 2012 and provides independent challenge. Tom has been a partner at KPMG LLP London and KPMG Sydney. He was the Scheme Administrator of English & American Insurance Company from 1998 to 2011 and the UK Scheme Administrator of the HIH group of companies from 2001 to 2011. He is also Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Asta Managing Agency Limited, formerly Whittington Capital Management Ltd. Tom is a Chartered Accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner with experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency.
